Information we collect
The current version does not ask you to sign up, create an account, provide your name or share your GPS location. Searches are matched against a directory loaded into your browser. The search text is not sent to our own server by the site’s search function.
Local storage
University Location Finder uses your browser’s local storage to remember your light/dark appearance preference and the university locations you save. That information remains in your browser unless you clear it. We do not use it to identify you.
Third-party services
The interactive maps fetch map tiles from OpenStreetMap’s tile service. The homepage also loads the Leaflet library from the unpkg content delivery network. Requests to these providers may disclose normal web-request information such as your IP address, device and browser information, and the visited page URL according to their policies. Map viewing can reveal the geographic areas you browse through tile requests.

Analytics and advertising
This starter version does not contain an analytics tag or Google AdSense advertising code. If analytics, ads, a contact form, or other tracking services are added later, this notice must be updated and applicable consent mechanisms implemented before those services are activated.
Your options
The homepage may load third-party map tiles automatically when opened. You can use the directory without saving favourites, and clear browser site data to remove saved locations and theme preferences. For privacy questions, see the Contact page once an operator contact address is published.
